Good morning, I was just taking a look at your website and submitted this message via your "contact us" form. The contact page on your site sends you messages like this via email which is why you are reading through my message right now correct? This is half the battle with any type of advertising, getting people to actually READ your ad and I did that just now with you! If you have something you would like to promote to thousands of websites via their contact forms in the U.S. or to any country worldwide send me a quick note now, I can even focus on specific niches and my pricing is very low. Reply here: trinitybeumer@gmail.com

Just taking up salmon fishing, vi en a lureflash speycaster and a hardy reel. I think the rod is fibre glass nothing to indicate this on it.
I've been told to buy a new carbon rod, I've also been offered a Hardy fibre glass rod in first class condition which I like the feel of.
Any thoughts out there, oh I do trout fish so not a novice by any means.

I have been fishing for 58 years and find graphite/carbon rods less fun to fish with than fiberglass. Perhaps it has something to do with rembering back when I was 10 yrs old fishing with fiberglass rods. I own many rods including carbon, fiberglass and even a metal rod that was given to me by an old man I knew because I cut his lawn. Talk about super fast action that metal rod was it. I reckon it boils down to preference and sometimes sentimental feelings.

Thank you for this very informative post. I have Berkley Cherrywood fiberglass rods from the 80's. I also have graphite and other composite rods. I keep going back to my old rods and constantly looking for more. My friends are finally catching on. They break 3 to 5 rods per year. I literally throw mine in the boat, usually 8 to 9 rods, while they spend time tying theirs down to make sure they don't move and break. Super good article. I hope this helps.
